LA FIESTA DEL FIN DEL MUNDO
Madrid, April 2020. Covid-19. A girl, at home, is bored. A boy feels lonely in his room. They don’t know each other, but imagine each other on a chat. And while they do so, they start a journey in space and time trying that will take them away from their enforced lockdown.
Paula González (Vigo, 1994). Graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid, later specializing in Documentary Film at ECAM. During her training at film school, she began directing and producing her first short films, exploring the intimate, the everyday, and the relationship of the individual with the digital world. He is currently studying the postgraduate course in Commissariat at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola.
Gloria Gutiérrez started studying cinema in 2018 at the ECAM, where she specialized in Documentary Cinema. While she was studying, she directed several short features: Cuando miro la ventana veo el bosque (When I Look at the Window, I See the Forest), Aquel día (That day), Te convertirás en una canción (You’ll Become a Song) and her final thesis project La fiesta del fin del mundo (The End of the World Party). She also started working as director of photography on short features such as Wan ju wan, La chiquita guapa (Pretty Little One) and El descuidado respirar del universe (The Universe’s Careless Breathing). She is currently completing a master in photography at the EFTI. She has also participated in cultural projects, the most recent being the Cinezeta Program, young programmers from the Matadero Cultural Center, where she participated in the creation of various series and gave a talk at the 2019 Gijon Film Festival. He has a diploma in Literary Studies from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá and in Documentary Film Studies at ECAM in Madrid, Spain. He works between documentary and experimental cinema. It seeks to explore concepts such as identity, language, territory and signs within a context as problematic as the Colombian one. Another member of Errata, a Colombian experimental creation group. His works include No hay pájaros en Islandia (2019), Y2K (2019) and, together with the Errata collective, No somos los MISMOS (2019) and Sin medir distancias (2020).
