Caroline Chomienne, France
A former classical dancer at the Marseille Opera, she studied law, literature and cinema in Aix-en-Provence and Paris 8 universities before becoming a film maker : “Dealing with time and movement are shared by both arts, but cinema needs a stronger audio-visual point of view than choreography , a more subjective look on a situation and its interpretation. The use of close-ups and dialogue are obviously major differences”. She felt more interested in this multi-faced artistic form, and therefore began to develop her own films that often relate to dance and to musical choreography. After working as an assistant director and script supervisor on shorts and feature films for five years, she shot a documentary Un tournage de Raùl Ruiz, selected at the Directorts’ Fortnight Cannes, and got an award with her first short fiction Les Chaussures vertes. Her two feature films Des Iendemains qui chantent and Freestyle shown in Cannes Acid 2002 and UWFF New York, are stories about young musicians in multicultural cities. She was nominated for the Prix Villa Médicis for cinema in 1991. In 1997, after obtaining an MBA for Cultural management, she developed an organization for young filmmakers in Paris called Altermédia, which has recently been elected as Unesco club. She is now in post-production of a medium-length film A Dance lesson and of two features Véra and Cuba no, Cuba si.

Hrvoje Hribar, Croatia
Born in Zagreb, Croatia, Hrvoje Hribar graduated in film directing from ADU (Academy of Dramatic Arts) in Zagreb. He has worked as a first assistant director, screenwriter, radio playwright, cook and essayist, contributing to the Croatian film Encyclopedia, Radio 101, Novi Prolog and Gordogan. He produced and directed the comedy What is a Man without a Moustache?, the highest grossing film at Croatian box office in the first decade of the Century, which was shown in more than 30 international film festivals. Prior to that, he also wrote, directed and produced two documentaries (The World is Great and Once there was a Man), as well as his first feature The Tranquilizer Gun. As a director and a scriptwriter, Hrvoje is also the author of Croatian Cathedrals (television film produced by HRT, Croatian public broadcaster) and the short film Between Zaghlul & Zaharias (produced by Tuna-film). In 2001, he directed the TV series New Age for Croatian Radio-television (HRT). He was awarded the Oktavijan (Best Croatian film of the year) several times (for the feature Tranquiliser Gun, the documentary Once there was the man and the short Between Z&Z).
Since November 2010, Hrvoje has been serving as a member of the Executive Committee of FERA. In September 2010 he was appointed Chief Executive of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, the main audiovisual agency in Croatia, which he left in February 2017, returning to his position in the Federation of European Film Directors.

Matthew Noel-Tod, UK
(born 1978) is an artist and filmmaker. He has written about art and film for frieze and Moving Image Review & Art Journal (MIRAJ).He has been Director of Photography on numerous artists’ long form works, including films by Laure Provoust, Anja Kirschner & David Panos, David Lamelas, Melanie Gilligan, Elizabeth Price and Sturtevant.
