BENEATH THE WIDE WIDE HEAVEN
Pier Paolo Pasolini plays the role of the director as conveyor of human experience in this experimental documentary film. The director is constantly watching, thinking, and feeling, all in the hope that the film, once it stands alone, will be sufficient and whole. And on him is the burden of showing through cinema the human experience of transcendence.
