Moving Image Culture after Computerization
In my lecture I discuss a number of recent developments in post-digital
moving image culture such as database cinema, the panoramic/cinematic
hybrids, the spatial image, and Flash aesthetics. What critical language can
we use to talk about these and others hybrid cinematic forms – the forms
which are multiplying and mutating before our eyes (machinema, VJ
performances, micromovies, algorithmic cinema, and so on)?
