PLATEAU

A man wanders through abandoned, deserted cities. Two women have found a temporary room of shelter. All three of them seem to be disoriented. PLATEAU tells about a condition of alienation, about a dystopian urban emptiness. Film locations were based on real shrinking cities in Germany.

Vanessa Nica Mueller

German-ugandian media artist & independent filmmaker, born in Munich, studied Film & time based Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg, Marseille and Jerusalem till 2008. Beside realizing her own Films TRACES OF AN ELEPHANT, HALBE NACHT and PLATEAU during the last years, she is teaching Documentary & experimental film, and sometimes curates Film screenings or Film talks. In 2011 her Film TRACES OF AN ELEPHANT won the German Competition at the Intern. Short Film Festival Oberhausen.
