Face to face with (and emerging from) a culture in which cruelty and lust are linked in a shocking way, this debut provides an intense, allegorical vision of an apocalyptic Mexico – one we do not, however, get to see. In a derelict building, a brother and sister become fascinated by an older man.
Emiliano Rocha Minter
Born in Mexico in 1990. He was rejected for film school three times, but when he applied to La Esmeralda Art School, he was accepted immediately. He is halfway through his Visual Arts studies now, but has been working in film since he was 16. He has participated in nine feature films. INSIDE (2012) is his third short film. WE ARE THE FLESH was selected at IFF Rotterdam in 2016.
