When fugitive Ayaan encounters a man on a rural beach, she must decide whether to trust him, or journey on alone.
Her work has been recognized through individual awards including the American Australia Foundation Dame Joan Sutherland Award and a Fuse Presents SXSW mentorship. She is a Berlinale Talent Campus alumna, a 2020 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Newcomer and a graduate of the M.F.A. in Screenwriting and Directing at Columbia University, which she undertook on a full scholarship from the General John Monash Foundation. At Columbia, she was also awarded a Screenwriting Fellowship and taught the screenwriting lab.Her short film, Ayaan won Best Director from the Australian Directors Guild, was a finalist for the Dendy Awards at the 2020 Sydney Film Festival and is currently nominated for 7 South Australian Screen Awards. Ayaan was also awarded a Panavision Grant Sponsorship, the Leone Family Film Production Award, won the IFP Audience Award, the 3Pas Best Producing Award, the Adrienne Shelly Best Female Director Award, a U.S. National Board of Review Motion Pictures Award.
