The film follows the flight of a spy balloon over Austro-Hungarian fortresses of the City of Pula, shortly before Italy entred into World War I in 1915. In this secret mission, an aviation officer is facing an unexpected experience triggered by a shot. We are witnessing a significant change of successful and disciplined pilot into a person focused on the creative use of free skies. Up in the air, there is a dream and down on Earth there are military formations. The officer, in his visions, is disassembling structures of fortresses and falls into state of freedom – of his own consciousness. Fantastic and creepy scene, intoxicating at the same time in the impressive power of destruction, it frees him from his mental discipline. Aeropitture actions are the realization of his repressed energies. The film is a hybrid of different technical procedures and genre definitions through which the potentials of media are explored. The hybrid film form was realized through a narrative line, using various animation techniques, documentary atmospheric references to the early avant-garde era.
