THE 1ST DISSONANT PIECE FOR THE CAMERA AND THE BODY
1. DISONANTNI KOMAD ZA KAMERU I TIJELO
Croatia , 2021, 18′ 14”
The occupying (or re-conquering) of spaces not intended for human use or spaces that once had a clear purpose, but now only faintly reflect the former presence of life within them sets the movie on the border between non-spaces, and the unquenchable needs for establishing a space. By playing with filling and/or emptying a space, along with intense directing and editing interventions, a new space for the film is established that has not yet been inhabited, which beckons for the establishment of some sort of communication. But to make communication possible at all, the film warns of a necessity to constantly question the terminology we already use (both linguistically and physically, as well as through film).
